Shedstock is an app for iPhone and iPad for tracking the materials and tools you own, published by Greg Raine. These terms govern your use of it. Questions: greg@shedstock.co.uk.

1 · Acceptance

Downloading or using Shedstock means you accept these terms and the Apple Media Services terms that cover App Store distribution.

The agreement is between you and Greg Raine, an individual developer based in the United Kingdom. Apple is not a party to it. Apple distributes the app and processes purchases, and its own terms apply to that separately. If you do not accept these terms, do not use the app.

2 · Licence to use Shedstock

Shedstock is licensed, not sold. You get a personal, non-transferable licence to use it on devices you own or control, for as long as you keep it installed.

You may not copy or redistribute the app, rent, lease or sublicense it, sell access to it, or reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble it except to the extent the law permits regardless of this clause.

The licence ends if you break these terms, and you can end it yourself at any time by deleting the app. Ending it does not touch the catalogue on your devices or in iCloud.

3 · Shedstock Pro

Shedstock is free for one household of your own with up to 100 items. Shedstock Pro is a one-off in-app purchase, not a subscription. It removes the item limit, lets you own more than one household, and lets you share your households with other people. It works with Apple Family Sharing.

The price is set per storefront and shown in your own currency, including the taxes Apple collects for your region. Apple is the merchant of record: it takes the payment and handles every refund. Refund requests go to Apple through Report a Problem, not to us.

Pro is tied to your Apple Account, not to a device, and restores on any device signed in to it. If Apple refunds the purchase, Pro features stop. Your catalogue stays exactly where it is.

4 · Shared households

Joining a household someone else shares with you is free, and has no item limit. Only the owner needs Pro. The household lives in the owner's iCloud, so it uses the owner's iCloud storage, and members keep access only while the owner keeps sharing it with them.

Invite only people you are happy to let see, and if you allow it change, what is in the household. What members do with what they can see is their responsibility, not ours.

5 · Acceptable use

Do not use Shedstock to break the law, or to store or share anything you have no right to. Do not interfere with the app, or try to reach a household you have not been invited to.

6 · Your catalogue

What you record is yours. We claim no ownership of it, and we cannot see it: it is stored on your devices and in iCloud, as the privacy policy explains.

Because there is no copy on our side, we cannot recover a catalogue that has been deleted, lost with a device, or removed from iCloud. If iCloud is full or switched off, changes stay on the device until it can sync.

7 · Intellectual property

Shedstock — the software, the name, the icon, the interface and the design of this site — belongs to Greg Raine. The licence in clause 2 lets you use the app; it grants no right to use the name or icon. The app also uses third-party components under their own licences, including Apple's frameworks and Google's Firebase SDKs.

8 · No warranty

Shedstock is provided "as is" and "as available". It is not promised to run without interruption or error, or to be compatible with every device or iOS version. Stock levels, locations and details are only as accurate as what you and your household enter, and label scanning can misread a label: check before you rely on it.

None of that displaces your statutory rights. If you are a consumer, the rights your own law gives you over digital content stand whatever this clause says.

9 · Limitation of liability

Some liability cannot be limited by anyone, and is not limited here: death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, and anything else your law does not permit to be excluded.

Subject to that, Shedstock is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost profit, for lost or corrupted catalogue data, or for buying something you already had. Where liability can be limited, it is limited to the total amount you have paid for Shedstock in the twelve months before the claim.

10 · Changes and governing law

These terms can change as the app changes. When they do, the date at the top of this page changes with them, and a change that affects your rights or what you pay will also appear in the release notes for the version that introduces it.

If any clause turns out to be unenforceable, it is severed and the rest stands. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of the country you live in, and may bring proceedings in your own country's courts.
